It is by His shed blood that we are saved. We are based out of Safe Harbor Baptist Church in Salisbury N.C. Pastor Rick Perry of Safe Harbor is my pastor. He has been involved since the very conception of the group. It was after years of prayer ( right at two to be exact )that the group was formed. We dress in denim bib overalls, white shirts and red ties. These are the colors of Old Glory of course, but it goes further than that. It is in tribute to the 30's that we do this. Bluegrass style music was becoming popular. Our great country had terrible problems, much as it has now! Our country prospered and grew back then. The difference from then and now, we loved God then and was willing to put Him first. That just is not the case now. WE MUST GET BACK TO LOVING GOD AND PUTTING HIM FIRST!!! The group has standards that each member has to adhere to. They must be saved. This is first and foremost. You have to know what you are singing about. They must attend church. They must maintain a neat appearance. Though we strive hard to have great musicianship as well as great three and four part harmonies, it all really comes down to this, good Christian first, good musician second. It is our prayer that we can get ourselves in a position where God can use us to touch others. We desire your prayers as we try our best to fulfill our phrase: "Plowing the ground, planting the seed....that Christ died for you" Thanks, David Murph Lyrics by James Cleveland Moore / April 22, 1914 (1888-1962) http://www.hymntime.com/tch/bio/m/o/o/moore_jc.htm I have heard of a land on the far away strand 'Tis a beautiful home of the soul Built by Jesus on high, there we never shall die 'Tis a land where we never grow old (Chorus) Never grow old, never grow old In a land where we'll never grow old Never grow old, never grow old In a land where we'll never grow old In that beautiful home where we'll never more roam We shall be in the sweet by and by Happy praise to the king thru eternity ring 'Tis a land where we never shall die When our work here is done and the life crown is won And out troubles and trials are o'er All our sorrows will end and our voices will blend With the loved ones who've gone on before
